The last month has been quite a whirlwind here at Rotation Records. After just a few weeks since announcing our new location, we have been busy! We have had quite a few friends and colleagues in to help us fine tune the new studio and get the sound perfect. We want to shout our great friend Chris Hamilton for getting the drum sound in our room as good as any drum room we have ever heard; and also to our friends at Civil Discord for being the first to give the new live room a full run as well as Brian Quinn and Danny Beissel for getting vocals and guitar tracking to a near perfect sound... And thank you to Brent Porche from WMMR for stopping by the new location to check things out! We also want to say thank you to the UK based project called "The British Invasion" for coming by and ripping the paint off the walls of the live room with some insanely good british rock!
We have also had an amazing month outside of the new location, our writers and partners Julian Ray and Yufi Zewdu of Good Thief Music had their first major placement as they landed a song called "Even" on Chris Brown's latest album "Heartbreak on a Full Moon". We could not be more proud of these two and we are so honored that they chose Rotation Records to write and record this as well as hundreds of other future hits! We kicked off our partnership with our new neighbor Five Saints Distillery across the street, which is an incredible transformed Fire House and we started our Wed Night Open Mic Nights with them. Be sure to stop by, all are welcome. We would be remiss not to mention that BaceFace, one of our amazing engineers and producers got the chance to open for Krewella on stage at the Fillmore and absolutely crushed it. We also had the pleasure of shooting a short film with Redd Pen Media which will be out soon, Rochelle, our VP of Operations may not make it out of the movie alive... you'll have to see it to find out. Thank you for the talented ALUS for allowing us to join her on the set. Lastly, the holidays are coming fast, be sure to pick up studio time gift certificates for your favorite artists, and also this is the time of the year when we get lots of parents to come in with their little ones to record mommy/daughter/father/son christmas and disney songs... remember, these adorable recordings capture a moment in time and they last a lifetime!
